In 2008 my wife scored a six-week assignment in Hawaii during January and February. I went with her. Rather than visiting other islands on the weekends though, we had to stay on Oahu because I needed to be at the sports bar to watch the undefeated Patriots in the playoffs.

We know the outcome on the field. On a personal note, I gave up watching sports after that game. Watching football had stopped being enjoyable after the Pats hit 5-0; the rest of the season was gut wrenching. And I realized nothing, nothing would come close to watching the Sox win it all in 2004. I pretty much went cold turkey; my wife seems concerned about my ability to shut off the passion for something about which I was once enthusiastic. Figure that keeps her honest. (Once I moved to Kentucky, I amended my stance to accommodate sports involving non humans.)

So, that being said, as this Tumblr revolves around me, so too must the sports world: Pats and Giants. And always bet on a horse at 8-1 or greater with a 50 percent overlay.
